A series of digital transformation training sessions in Turkmenistan, organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, concluded this week in Ashgabat. The sessions took place from August 25 to 29 and formed part of a broader initiative to develop the Concept and State Program for the Digital Economy for 2026–2028, as UNDP reported.
The training brought together representatives from nearly 30 ministries and government agencies. The program aimed to strengthen strategic approaches to digitalization, introduce modern IT solutions, and improve the efficiency of public administration.
A separate intensive track was designed for entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses, and startups. Topics covered included digital governance, strategy development, assessment of digital maturity, cybersecurity, data management, and insights from international best practices.
