Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday sent congratulations to North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un and the people of the country on the occasion of the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, as state media reported.

In his message, Berdimuhamedov wished Kim good health and happiness, and wished the North Korean people peace, prosperity and well-being, according to the reports.

On the same day, he congratulated Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and the people of Tajikistan on Independence Day. The message noted that Tajikistan has strengthened its socioeconomic development in recent years and is actively engaged in addressing international issues.

Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to continue efforts to expand bilateral cooperation and wished Rahmon health and prosperity, and the people of Tajikistan peace, sustainable development and progress.
