President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Rustam Minnikhanov on his re-election as Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation. According to official Turkmen media on Tuesday, the message was conveyed on behalf of the people and Government of Turkmenistan, as well as personally from the head of state.

“The election results reflect your dedicated service and the high level of trust the people of Tatarstan place in you,” the President noted in his congratulatory message. He expressed confidence that this important event would contribute to the continued development of Tatarstan and the well-being of its citizens.

President Berdimuhamedov wished Rustam Minnikhanov good health, happiness, and success in his responsible role and extended wishes of peace, prosperity, and continued progress to the brotherly people of Tatarstan.

The election in Tatarstan was held on September 14. Rustam Minnikhanov received nearly 2 million votes, amounting to 88.09% of votes cast. The official inauguration ceremony is scheduled for September 19, according to the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Tatarstan.
