The next session of the Russian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation is scheduled to take place in Ashgabat in mid-October, Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin said in a congratulatory message on Turkmenistan’s Independence Day. The message was published by the Russian Embassy’s press service on Saturday.

Volynkin emphasized that amid the active development of bilateral ties, it is especially important to maintain and strengthen the positive momentum achieved, which the upcoming commission meeting will help facilitate.

“It is gratifying to note that trusting relations have been established between the leaders of our countries, ensuring the successful development of bilateral relations,” the diplomat said in his message.

The 12th meeting of the Russian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held on December 7, 2022, in Moscow.
