President of Turkmenistan Approves New Judicial Appointments

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov, chaired a regular meeting of the State Security Council on Wednesday, where he signed a decree approving a series of judicial appointments and dismissals, according to Turkmen official media.

Gurbanov Dovran was appointed family court judge of Ashgabat’s Berkararlyk district court. Seytiyev Serdar Altyyevich was named head of the Ak Bugday district court in Ahal Province after leaving his post as a judge of the Balkanabat city court in Balkan Province. Hydyrberdiyev Rahymberdi Nurberdiyevich was appointed judge of the Altyn Asyr district court in Ahal Province with a fifth-class qualification rank. Sapargulyyeva Govher Charyyevna joined the Balkanabat city court of Balkan Province. Begmuradov Meylis was appointed to the Gyzylarbat district court in Balkan Province with a fifth-class qualification rank.

In Dashoguz Province, Amanov Merdan Ilmammedovich was appointed judge of the Garashsyzlyk district court; Myatiyeva Aydjan Shamyradovna was approved as judge of the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi district court; and Medaliyev Babajan Myratgeldiyevich became judge of the Gubadag district court — all with a fifth-class qualification rank. Akmammedov Yakup Berdymuhamedovich was appointed head of the Farap district court in Lebap Province. Byashimov Yhlas Jumaevich and Alymov Bahtiyar Yhtyyarovich were appointed judges of the Garabekewul and Dowletli district courts in Lebap Province, respectively, each with a fifth-class qualification rank.

Atahanova Gulyalek Annamyradovna was appointed family court judge of the Mary city court, and Ashyrov Eziz was approved as judge of the Oguzhan district court with a fifth-class qualification rank, in Mary Province.

Upon completion of their terms, Bazargeldi Yazmyradov, chair of the Dashoguz city court, and Yazmuhammedov Yagshymyrat Toylyyevich, judge of the Berkararlyk district court of Ashgabat, were relieved of their duties.

The meeting also reviewed the performance of the country’s military and law enforcement agencies over the past 11 months.
