In honor of the 60th anniversary of Oleg Kononenko, Hero of Turkmenistan and commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent congratulatory messages. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

In his address, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the significance of Kononenko’s work for global technological progress and improving the lives of mankind.

“Your work is honorable and responsible. Its results make a significant contribution to global technological development and improvement of the lives of all humanity,” said Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The head of state wished the astronaut health, happiness and new achievements in the space industry.

At the same time, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted Kononenko’s dedication to space research and science. He expressed gratitude for the cosmonaut’s attention to Turkmenistan even during space flights.

“You dedicated your life to space exploration, knowledge of the Universe and the development of science. We in Turkmenistan are following your flight and achievements with enthusiasm. And we are pleased to see your love and special attention to Turkmenistan, even when you are in space,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted in his message.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people wished the hero of the day longevity, prosperity and successful implementation of all plans.
