On the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to Turkmenistan Mrs. Tatyana Daniela Garcia Silva. This was reported in the "Vatan" news program.

During the meeting, the diplomat conveyed the warm greetings of Daniel Ortega Saavedra, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua, to the leader of the Turkmen state, as well as his wishes for good health to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Turkmenistan.

The ambassador said that it was a great honor for him to represent his country in a country that has gained a high international reputation due to its peace-loving policy and positive initiatives.

During the interview, the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua was introduced to the main directions of internal and external policy of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, large-scale reforms implemented based on the initiatives of the Turkmen leader, as well as major international projects.

The Nicaraguan ambassador was also informed about the composition of the national parliament and its multifaceted work, in particular, the activities it carries out within the framework of large-scale reforms implemented in the country. Bilateral interest in intensifying relations in the legislative system was expressed.

In the conversation, it was emphasized that the Republic of Nicaragua joined the Group of Friends on Sustainable Transport, which was established on July 6, 2022 at the initiative of Turkmenistan.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to Turkmenistan, Tatiana Daniela Garcia Silva, assured that she will make every effort to further deepen the traditional friendly relations and bring them to a new, higher level.
