On August 24, at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, a conference of education workers of the country was held under the slogan "Ocean of wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy". It summarized the results of the last academic year and discussed important tasks for the new 2024-2025 academic year. This is reported by TDH.

As mentioned, before the start of the meeting, the participants visited the exhibition held in the balcony of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and watched the musical performances organized there. The exhibition was dedicated to the achievements in the education system of Turkmenistan and clearly showed that special importance is attached to the development of this system in the country.

Then the council began its work, and leaders and representatives of various levels of the country's education system were invited to speak.

Speakers said that in the 2023-2024 academic year, from kindergarten to higher education institutions, education has been improved in accordance with national principles, best practices and international standards, ensuring the continuity of education and the consistency of all its levels.

As mentioned, a new round of educational reforms based on the best global and national practices was launched from the new academic year 2024-2025 based on the "Concept of improving the teaching methodology of general education programs in Turkmenistan until 2028".

In addition, additional education by extracurricular and additional education institutions, which are an integral part of the country's education system, to meet the abilities, talents and spiritual needs of children and adolescents, to organize their free time effectively, to direct them to various professions and to organize them to be able to choose a profession wisely. it was noted that

In this regard, the education of children in secondary schools in natural-science and ecology, technology-based scientific-technical, language, cultural heritage and national art, ethics-aesthetics, artistic creativity and life, cultural-structure, physical education and sports it was emphasized that the activities aimed at deepening are being successfully continued.

During the speeches, it was also discussed about the work carried out to join the list of international higher education institutions. Also, attention was paid to the work carried out on international cooperation in the field of education. In this regard, it was said that effective cooperation with the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture, famous scientific and educational centers of Asia, Europe, and America is being carried out in Turkmenistan, and as a result of this cooperation, in 2023 UNESCO's "UNITWIN" international Within the framework of the program implementation, it was emphasized that UNESCO departments were opened in two higher educational institutions of the country, and a number of general secondary schools in Ashgabat city and provinces were included in the UNESCO school association network.
