On February 20, 2025, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China, Parahat Durdyev, met with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Liu Bin.
The parties stated that the Turkmen-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership are dynamically developing in a wide range of areas. During the meeting, the main achievements of the Turkmen-Chinese partnership over the past year were reviewed.
Parahat Durdyev noted that at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution declaring 2025 the “International Year of Peace and Trust.” It was emphasized that this year also marks the 30th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
In this regard, the Ambassador handed over official invitation letters on behalf of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan to the International Forum of Peace and Trust, addressed to the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, the Premier of the State Council Li Qiang and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
