On March 31, 2025,  the ceremony of presenting credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Cyprus (with residence in Rome) T. Komekov to the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides took place in the Presidential Palace in Nicosia. This is reported by the news agency of diplomatic missions.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus conveyed warm greetings to the President of Turkmenistan and expressed best wishes to the Turkmen people. The head of the Republic of Cyprus noted the important contribution of Turkmenistan’s positive neutrality policy in promoting peace, stability and security at the regional and international levels.

Then, Ambassador T.Komekov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the President of the Republic of Cyprus. The sides expressed interest in developing friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Cyprus in the fields of mutual interest.

During the bilateral meeting at the ceremony, Ambassador T.Komekov also conveyed an invitation letter on behalf of the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to participate in the International Forum of Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12, 2025.
