President Serdar Berdimuhamedov suggested exploring opportunities for small and medium-sized Japanese enterprises to participate in business ventures within Turkmenistan during a meeting with Japanese business leaders on Tuesday. Additionally, he highlighted the potential for promoting Turkmen companies in the Japanese market.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that Turkmenistan is open to discussions on new initiatives with Japan, highlighting the strong foundation for future business cooperation, as reported by official media.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF), in its recent report, confirmed Turkmenistan's economic stability and forecasted a growth rate of 6.3-6.8% for the coming years.

Turkmenistan’s economy is primarily driven by state and private investments, which account for over 40% of GDP annually.  Foreign investments make up nearly 15% of this total. More than 65% of total investments are directed into the manufacturing sector, playing a key role in the modernization and reform of the national economy.

Among the priority areas for development, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the diversification of energy, the expansion of logistical and water infrastructure, and the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies. He emphasized that Japanese businesses have a strong opportunity to take an active role in these sectors, offering long-term investment opportunities and guaranteeing favorable conditions for such ventures.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended an invitation to Japanese entrepreneurs to attend as honored guests at the international forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.
