Turkmenistan Participates in Central Asia–China Foreign Ministers' Meeting

A delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the country’s Ambassador to China, Parahat Durdyyev, took part in the sixth meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and China, held on April 25–26 in Almaty, as reported by Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The key focus of the meeting was the preparation for the second Central Asia–China Heads of State Summit, scheduled for June in Astana. Participants discussed the draft documents planned for signing at the upcoming forum and emphasized the importance of strengthening the legal and contractual framework of cooperation.

 

The sides also paid special attention to the development of political dialogue, the expansion of economic ties, improvement of transport connectivity, as well as issues of sustainable development and environmental protection.

Following the meeting, a Joint Information Communiqué was adopted, outlining the agreements reached in the main areas of cooperation.
