Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, arrived in the French Republic on Monday for an official visit, according to Turkmenistan’s state news agency.

In the morning, Berdimuhamedov was seen off at Ashgabat International Airport by representatives of Turkmenistan’s official circles. Upon arrival in Paris, the delegation’s plane landed at Orly International Airport, which was decorated with the flags of both nations. The national leader was welcomed with ceremony by French officials and members of the Turkmen delegation. A ceremonial guard of honor was also present.

During the welcoming ceremony, Berdimuhamedov held a conversation with a French official, who expressed Paris’s interest in strengthening multifaceted cooperation with Ashgabat and wished him success during the visit.

According to official reports, the visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to bilateral cooperation and open a new chapter in Turkmen-French relations.
