Turkmenistan and France signed a series of important intergovernmental agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors, following the visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, to Paris, according to the Turkmen state news agency.
The documents signed include: a Declaration on Cooperation in Sustainable Urban Development between the governments of the two countries, a Roadmap for Cooperation in Education for 2025–2026, an Agreement on Cooperation in Archaeological Research between the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the National Museum of Natural History of France.
Additionally, a Framework Agreement was signed with Thales Alenia Space France for equipping Turkmenistan’s national satellite, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmen State Concern Türkmengaz and Kayrros SAS.
As part of the Turkmen-French Economic Forum in Paris, further bilateral agreements were also signed, including; a Memorandum of Understanding between the agency “Türkmenaragatnaşyk” and Airbus Defence and Space SAS; a Memorandum of Cooperation on Land Cadastral Affairs between the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan and IGN FI, a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Committee for Water Management of Turkmenistan and SUEZ International in the field of water management, a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Concern “Türkmengaz” and SUEZ International for cooperation in the gas industry.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan is also prepared to offer French businesses favorable conditions for investment and further cooperation, he emphasized during the Turkmen-French Economic Forum in Paris.
