The annual celebration of Ashgabat City Day on May 25 is one of the joyful events for residents of the Turkmen capital. It has become a good tradition to hold an international exhibition in honor of this holiday, which is a symbol of the boundless love of happy citizens for the beautiful city and makes it possible to demonstrate the grandiose achievements of the capital of our Fatherland. All current events dedicated to the City Day of Ashgabat are of particular significance.

The XXIII universal international exhibition “White City Ashgabat” will clearly demonstrate the successes of the Turkmen capital in the field of urban planning and the potential for further development of Ashgabat, as well as priority areas of cooperation in this area.

Dear people!

Ashgabat - the capital of an independent neutral Fatherland - is an excellent unique showcase of the large-scale successes of the entire country. As a result of the successful implementation of urban planning and architectural programs initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Honored Architect Hero-Arkadag, Ashgabat was recognized as the “Shining Pearl of Asia” and became one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities in the world.

Currently, a lot of work is being done to modernize our beautiful capital and transform it into a thriving oasis, to build new residential complexes, to update existing engineering and technical systems, and to develop road and transport infrastructure.

Our wonderful capital is becoming more and more beautiful with the construction of new buildings with unique architecture and fashionable buildings. Accordingly, the implementation of original solutions, including digital technologies and engineering and technical developments, is becoming increasingly important.

The numerous buildings noted at the international level, distinguished by national flavor and embodying historical and cultural values, are indisputable confirmation that our capital is increasingly establishing itself among the most beautiful cities in the world. This is evidenced by the fact that individual objects with original architecture are included in the Guinness Book of Records.

The inclusion of our capital Ashgabat by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network through Design is one of the most gratifying events.

Dear people!

This year, program measures are being implemented to solemnly celebrate at the international level the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, the great thinker and classical poet of the East. A kind of start to the upcoming large-scale celebrations in honor of the classic poet was the opening recently in the southern corner of the capital of the monument to Magtymguly Fragi and the cultural and park complex “Makhtumkuli Fragi” with sculptures of famous personalities, prominent writers and masters of words from foreign countries.

The improvement of the surroundings of this modern complex is carried out in accordance with modern architectural solutions, and the engineering, technical and road transport structures, and lighting system create a single harmony.

Also, in the year of “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi,” we set a goal to open and commission throughout the country, including in the city of Ashgabat, a number of large industrial and social facilities, as well as laying the foundations of new buildings.

The buildings that will be erected in the capital in the newest historical era, modern residential buildings will not only further decorate our white marble capital, they will improve the social and living conditions of the citizens, providing a wide range of high-quality social services provided to the people, which is also of great importance.

Accordingly, we will carry out the necessary work to further accelerate the development and improvement of our capital. I firmly believe that beautiful Ashgabat will become an exemplary center of progress and prosperity.
