Ashgabat to Host 7th Central Asian Climate Change Conference 2025

The 7th Central Asian Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2025) will be held in Ashgabat from May 13 to 15, 2025, serving as a key regional platform for dialogue on climate resilience, adaptation, and mitigation, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Sunday.

The event is organized by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) in partnership with the World Bank, the Central Asia Water and Energy Program (CAWEP), the RESILAND CA+ program, and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

According to report, government officials, international organizations, and climate experts from across Central Asia are expected to attend. Discussions will focus on mobilizing climate finance, strengthening regional cooperation, and enhancing climate resilience.

The theme of CACCC-2025 is “Achieving the Global Climate Finance Goal through Regional and National Actions in Central Asia.” The agenda includes critical topics such as rising temperatures, desertification, and accelerated glacier melt — issues that pose significant threats to the region’s environmental and economic stability.

The CACCC-2025 aims to provide a collaborative space for aligning strategies and securing financial and political support to help Central Asian countries transition toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
