President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received a high-ranking delegation from the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, including Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC); Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; and Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media.
The discussions highlighted the strategic nature of relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE, which are built on principles of friendship, mutual respect, and equality.
The sides noted ongoing positive momentum in trade, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange, along with steady growth in political and diplomatic engagement through high-level visits.
Focusing on energy cooperation, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underscored the importance of bilateral partnerships in the fuel and energy sector and reiterated Turkmenistan’s readiness to deepen collaboration with ADNOC. He also noted the successful implementation of several projects in Turkmenistan with the participation of UAE financial and investment institutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to expanding constructive relations with the UAE and wished the delegation continued success in their official duties.
On the same day, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting in Ashgabat with Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik, the head of the Malaysian oil and gas corporation Petronas, who arrived in the capital on a visit.
