President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree moving the public holiday for Constitution and State Flag Day from Sunday, May 18, to Monday, May 19, 2025, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Thursday.
The decree is aimed at creating favorable conditions for the ceremonial celebration of national holidays and ensuring a comfortable rest period for the population. It was issued in accordance with Part Two of Article 81 of Turkmenistan’s Labor Code.
All ministries, agencies, enterprises, and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, have been instructed to ensure the implementation of the decree.
Turkmenistan’s Constitution was adopted on May 18, 1992, while the State Flag, approved on February 19, 1992, became one of the key symbols of the country’s independence, which was declared in 1991.
