Belarusian airline Belavia will temporarily suspend its flights on the Minsk–Turkmenbashi–Minsk route from May 20 to July 25. During this period, flights will be rerouted to Balkanabat International Airport, located near the town of Jebel in Turkmenistan’s Balkan province, as reported by official Turkmen media on Wednesday.
No ticket reissuance is required. All passengers were informed in advance about the change in arrival and departure airport via SMS and email notifications.
Flights will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays. The schedule varies depending on the date: Tuesday flights depart from Minsk late in the evening, arriving in Balkanabat early the following morning. Sunday flights depart either early in the morning or at midnight, depending on the period, with corresponding adjustments to departure times from Turkmenistan.
Tickets can be purchased at Belavia’s offices in Ashgabat and other cities.
