Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, member of the CPC Central Committee Politburo, held a phone conversation on Monday to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues. Particular attention was paid to deepening the strategic partnership in the political, diplomatic, economic, and energy sectors, according to Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two officials highlighted the importance of longstanding mutual support in the international arena, including within the framework of the United Nations, as a key element of their bilateral relations. They also emphasized the role of the trusted high-level dialogue, which continues to serve as a solid foundation for broadening cooperation across all priority areas.

Both sides agreed to maintain regular engagement between their foreign ministries, including holding political consultations.
