On May 28, 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the delegation headed by UN Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States Fatima Rabab.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the UN Under-Secretary-General discussed a wide range of organizational and protocol issues, as well as the content of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3).

At the same time, the sides thoroughly viewed the progress of work on the preparation of appropriate venues for plenary sessions, round tables, forums and other side events.

The high importance of the Conference in the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals was empasized at the meeting.
