On June 2, 2025, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation held a bike ride in the city of Kazan, dedicated to World Bicycle Day. The route of the sporting event ran from the Uram extreme park on the bank of the Kazanka River to the Kazan Kremlin. The event was attended by employees of the diplomatic mission and Turkmen students studying in Kazan.

Speaking at the opening of the event, the head of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan noted that in the declared International Year of Peace and Trust in 2025, the significance of this holiday increases as a symbol of peace, mutual understanding and constructive cooperation. It was also emphasized that such initiatives contribute to the formation of such qualities in young people as determination and self-confidence.

Particular attention in the speech was paid to sports diplomacy as an important area of the foreign policy strategy of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. It was noted that the development of international cooperation in the sports sphere, the popularization of a healthy lifestyle and the formation of an environmental culture play a significant role in the education of the younger generation.
