Today, June 3, on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day, a mass bicycle rally was held in Ashgabat with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

This time, the bicycle rally started near the "Bicycle" building, which was built at the intersection of Chandybil Avenue and Bekrave Street.

In the morning, the leadership of the country, students, employees of various sectors of the national economy gathered here. Among them were the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations working in the country. The enthusiastic musical performances of the country's artists, praising the prosperity of the Motherland and Turkmen sports, became a unique festive gift.

The Turkmen leader started a mass bicycle rally and stopped the caravan of participants of the spectacular event. Following the Honorable President, everyone started moving in unity along the Chandybil and Bitarap Turkmenistan avenues of the capital.

It should be noted that on the initiative of Turkmenistan on April 12, 2018, at the 82nd plenary session of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, June 3 was announced as "World Bicycle Day", and on April 15, 2022 In March, at the 61st plenary session of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, the adoption of the Resolutions entitled "Introduction of public cycling to public transport systems to achieve sustainable development" was an important step of our country in inviting the world community to a healthy life and promoting ecological well-being among states.
