In response to rising tensions in the Middle East, Turkmenistan is facilitating the transit of foreign diplomats, their family members, and other civilians currently located in Iran, as reported by Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

According to report, approximately 120 people — citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Romania, and several other nations — have crossed into Turkmenistan through official border checkpoints.

The Turkmen side have provided the arrivals with transportation, food, hotel accommodations, and essential supplies.

As part of this humanitarian initiative, Turkmenistan is working in close coordination with diplomatic missions and international organizations.

This effort underscores Turkmenistan’s commitment to humanitarian values, international cooperation, and good neighborly relations — a commitment that holds particular significance during the International Year of Peace and Trust, declared by the United Nations General Assembly at Turkmenistan’s initiative.
