On July 2, 2025, the "Turkmendenizderyollary" Agency announced a tender for the design, supply, and construction management of two Ro-Ro rail Vessels and one Dry Cargo Vessels ferries. This is part of the implementation of the Agreements on Financing the Construction of Vessels for the Marine Fleet of Turkmenistan, signed between the Government of Turkmenistan, the Islamic Development Bank, and the OPEC Fund.

The vessels will be built at the Balkan Shipyard. This project aims to enhance the potential and efficiency of the national marine fleet and develop the country's shipbuilding capabilities.
