Teachers of Turkmenistan are improving their skills in Almaty within the framework of the C5+ONE regional program

From July 7 to August 4, 27 English language teachers from a number of domestic higher and secondary educational institutions are in Almaty to participate in a seminar held within the framework of the C5+ONE regional program of the United States.

The C5+ONE (Opening Networks through English) program event brought together English teachers from five Central Asian countries - Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The participants of the seminar undergo an intensive English language training course according to an adapted educational professional training program. During practical classes and master classes, teachers study modern methods of teaching English, actively work to improve their English language proficiency, and improve their knowledge and skills. Teachers also share personal experiences and successful examples of applying best practices in teaching English and digital technologies in the learning process of schoolchildren and students.

Training under the C5+ONE program helps improve the language skills of Turkmen teachers, enrich their professional experience, expand useful contacts and establish mutually beneficial cooperation. The event will further introduce the best international practices into the national methodology of teaching English.

The current seminar in Almaty is the second stage of the educational program for teachers. In general, the program includes three interrelated stages. The first of them was held in the online learning format from May 13 to June 9. As part of the third phase, which will take place from September 2025 to May 2026, networking, collaboration and professional development activities are planned.

The C5+ONE regional program is aimed at developing professional contacts through English in Central Asia, expanding the opportunities of participants in the field of professional communication and international cooperation. The participants of the C5+ONE program are representatives of educational institutions, government agencies, civil society and the private sector from Central Asian countries. The program includes intensive English language courses, national and regional seminars, webinars and online interactions, site visits and professional development events, mentoring and graduate engagement. The C5+ONE program plays a key role in the development of human capital, regional integration and the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties between native English speakers.
