Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met on Tuesday with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan, Rana Abu Hijleh. On behalf of herself and the leadership of Palestine, Ambassador Abu Hijleh expressed sincere gratitude to the Turkmen government for its ongoing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed cooperation in political and diplomatic relations, trade and economy, and cultural and humanitarian areas. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral partnership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Turkmenistan and Palestine reiterated their dedication to advancing their strategic partnership and emphasized the importance of maintaining dialogue at all levels.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Palestine were officially established on April 17, 1992.
