Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan Agree to Establish Joint Ventures

Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan have agreed to expand long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation through the creation of joint ventures and the implementation of joint initiatives in industrial, trade-economic, transport, and cultural-humanitarian sectors. The decision was made during a meeting between the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held on Friday in the National Tourist Zone of Avaza.

The sides focused on developing industrial and manufacturing cooperation and agreed to strengthen collaboration in sectors such as textiles, chemicals, construction, and others. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of intensifying business ties, organizing exhibitions and business forums, and enhancing transport and logistics connectivity, including the development of multimodal transport, air services, and tourism, according to official Turkmen media.

Special attention was given to cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including exchange visits, collaboration between government agencies, research centers, educational institutions, media, and artists. The participants noted that implementing joint projects and initiatives would contribute to strengthening friendship and comprehensive cooperation among the people of the three countries.

Following the trilateral meeting, a signing ceremony was held for a number of documents aimed at deepening cooperation in the transport, aviation, and trade sectors.
